Medical does a testing
process called Diet Typing that we use to determine which
kinds of foods and in which proportions a person needs to
eat to reach their physical potential. You see, the purpose
of food, believe or not, is not enjoyment, but to give the
body energy. Let me say it one more time. The
purpose of food is to give the body energy. Without sufficient energy,
the body’s physical function is suboptimal. When the
body feels fatigue, typically emotions and mental concentration
also suffer. This affects not only the person, but family
and colleague interactions as well.
Diet Typing™ involves two primary blood tests, best done in
the fasting state (no food or drinks for at least 12 hours).
It is best to do the testing first thing in the morning.
This time tells us the person’s
physiology during homeostasis. Throughout the night, the
body makes changes in its physiology. The question is—where
is that physiology for the individual person?
The first part
of Diet Typing is called a glucose tolerance test. It involves
drinking a fruit drink with 50 or 100 grams of carbohydrates
and then monitoring how slowly or quickly the body metabolizes
the glucose (sugar). The body must have stable blood sugar
levels to have maximum energy in order for each person to
reach his/her physical potential.
The other part of Diet
Typing involves a blood pH measurement. Blood pH is vital
to energy production because the enzymes’ responsibilities
for driving energy storage reactions are temperature and
pH sensitive. Enzyme activity declines if the blood pH is
even slightly outside of a very narrow range (7.42-7.44 with
our blood pH monitor). When enzyme activity declines, chemical
reactions involved in energy production slow. When overall
energy slows, fatigue sets in. What also sets in is a lowering
of the body temperature. Why not check your body temperature?
You think it is 98.6 F. I doubt it, unless it is a very hot
day. If you took your temperature in the morning and it is
below 98.6 F, you have an energy production problem. You
are not at your physical potential!
Once a person has Diet
Typing, they will fall into one of five Diet Types: Lion,
Otter, Bear, Monkey, or Giraffe Diet Types. They will be
educated on the percentage of protein/fat and carbohydrates
to eat. Obviously, the Lion eats the most amounts of fat
and protein and the Giraffe eats the most amounts of carbohydrates.
Food Allergy Testing: There is one more test I believe everyone
should get in addition to Diet Typing - blood Food Allergy
Testing. This tests the blood to see you are making any IgG
antibodies against certain foods. In other words, is your
body seeing certain foods as invaders and mounting an immune
attack against it? So if you are a Lion/Otter
Diet Type and
it is okay for you to eat cow’s milk, it sure would
be nice to know if you were allergic to milk, wouldn’t
it? Likewise, if you are a Monkey/Giraffe
Diet Type, you
better know if you can have wheat or not. If you are a Bear,
which can have basically everything (in moderation), knowing
which foods you are allergic to is also vitally important.
Instead of allergenic foods giving you energy, they will
take energy away from the body.
I can think of hundreds of
reasons why you should get Diet
Typing, but here are my top
10 reasons!
1. To Reach Your Physical Potential
We adults tell our children to just do their best, but yet
we are content with mediocrity. The main reason people
don’t reach their physical potential, quite honestly
is because they are eating the wrong kinds of food. It
goes way beyond just eating simple carbohydrates, processed
foods, fried foods, foods with dyes in them, and desserts,
which are bad for you. It is about eating the wrong amount
of the wrong types of foods. I can’t tell you how
many vegetarians I have seen in my practice who end up
having carnivorous physiology upon getting the results
of Diet Typing, and their health problems are actually
because of their vegetarianism. Likewise, I have seen plenty
of high protein people who now have serious health problems
because their underlying physiology was more vegetarian.
If you want to be as healthy as possible, then get Diet
Typing.
2. To Truly Know What to Eat!
I believe a testing process that shows a person exactly what
foods to eat and in what quantities, would have the average
American saying “that is a good test to take!” But
I would also say the majority of them wouldn’t take
it themselves! How pitiful is that? I am sorry I am being
cynical, but it is only the select few who really take
their health seriously. It is the select few that really
exercise seriously. It is also the select few that look
at prevention of disease as important as looking for cures
of diseases. The bottom line is one of the main factors
in regard to how you feel, think, and act is related to
the food that you are eating. If you truly want to know
what to eat, then get Diet
Typing.
3. To Feel Good Again!
I am a doctor so people come to me because they don’t
feel good. The easiest way to start feeling good is to start
changing your diet to the foods that will give you the maximum
amount of energy. Generally, if you do this, the body will
heal itself. People underestimate the power of food. How
do you think the body makes muscles, tendons, skin tissue,
hormones, brain neurotransmitters, and all the substances
it makes so the complex workings of the body go along smoothly?
Where do all these precursors and substrates come from? Yes,
your food. If you are a “cupcakes in” kind of
person, you will get “cupcakes out.” You are
not going to be functioning on a filet mignon level by eating
cupcakes or pasta from refined wheat. It ain’t going
to happen. If you want to feel optimally, make sure you are
eating optimally.

Almost everyone you ask would say that they care about staying
healthy, but few do anything about it. If you are reading
this article, then you are one of the select few that truly
care about the prevention of disease. You know diet matters,
so some of what I am saying is like “preaching to
the choir.” Well, if that is the case, then send
this article to one of your friends who are struggling
with their health.
As you know most disease processes
take years to develop. Arthritis, hypertension, heart disease,
diabetes, and many others go on for years before people” discover” they
have it. Well, the time to prevent it is now! Get

Your Workouts and Athletic Performance
One third of my clients are devoted athletes. Probably another
third do some form of exercise. Yes, it is sad to say,
but about a third of my clients don’t really do much
exercise at all. So at least for the majority of you reading
this, you understand that athletic performance, ability
to workout, and even the quality of both of these, depends
a lot on how much energy you have. By knowing what foods
you need to eat, your body will have maximum energy stores
(assuming you eat that way) which will translate into improved
workouts and athletic performance. Recovery from tough
workouts is also enhanced. I am writing this after running
18 miles through hills and ice/snow. How do I have the
energy to do this? Because I eat according to my Lion/Otter
Diet Type!
6. You DO Want to Lose Weight and Keep It Off!
Almost any diet you start will have the effect of you temporarily
losing weight. The Hauser
Diet, I believe, is the only
diet that is based upon testing your response to carbohydrates
and testing your blood pH. In other words, you and your
spouse could have the same weight problem (20% over ideal
body weight) and yet be put on two different Hauser
Diets based upon your Diet Typing results. One of you could be
put on the Otter Diet and another put on the Monkey Diet.
Guess what would happen? You would both lose weight. Because
the diet is based upon energy production, what should happen
to your energy even though you are losing weight? You are
right! Your energy should sky-rocket! What happens when
you get more energy? Right again! You want to work out.
What happens when you work out? Yep, you lose more weight.

Let’s face it! We are all getting older. I don’t

win an Ironman triathlon in my age group, and be the kind
of person that my wife and God would be proud of. Actually
the last one is the most important. You see I have a lot

We all know people who don’t feel well. Most of them,
honestly, have just gone to traditional medical doctors and

They’ve been eating the same foods for years and those

diet is lowering your blood pH (acidic) and you already have
acid blood, then basically you have been harming yourself
every time you eat. Yes, you have been making yourself sick.

We often get see friends who are referred from our patients
and those original clients are so grateful when they hear
that their friends’ health has been turning around.
If one family member is getting healthy by changes in diet,
it only makes sense for the other family members to determine
their Diet Types as well! Yes, this includes children. Just
a little side note, almost every child we have ever seen
at Caring Medical has improper diet as the root cause of
their condition(s). Children, for sure, need Diet Typing
along with blood Food
Allergy Testing, if they have a medical
condition that is not resolving. Food allergies are quite
common in children. The best test is the blood test, as this
tests for chronic long term allergies. Of the children who
do the testing and then changes his/her diet accordingly,
not even one of the children in our practice has ever required
allergy shots.
9. To Be Happier
I don’t know about you, but it seems like people are
less happy these days. I think it is a major problem. Unhappiness
is like a cancer. Have one unhappy person in the family and
the whole family suffers. Have one unhappy employee and it
is like a cancer in a department and possibly in a whole
company.
Many people are unhappy because they either feel
sad or just don’t feel good. The amazing thing about
Hauser Diet Typing is that if a person gets more energy,
even if their social situation isn’t that good, they
feel much better. People who are physically strong can handle
a lot more stress. They can handle a lot more “unhappiness,” if
you will, and still keep a cool head. If you or someone you
love just seems unhappy, please don’t overlook problems
with blood pH or blood sugar levels (carbohydrate metabolism)

10. To Reverse Diseases and Other Health Conditions
Realize nothing said in this article has been analyzed by
the FDA, AMA, ADA or any other governing bodies. It is
the opinion of Ross A. Hauser, M.D. It is based on my experience
doing blood pH testing and glucose tolerance tests over
the course of the last 14 years in medical practice. I
just speak what I have seen. I have seen plenty of medical
conditions reversed with changes in diet. Yes, that includes
fatigue, pain, hypertension, heart disease, infertility,
