Why The
Hauser Diet Is The
Only One That Makes Sense For All Of Humanity
Ross A. Hauser, M.D.
The most popular diets in America that
are espoused every few years are the Atkins, Zone, Ornish and
Mediterranean Diets. They all are a big improvement over the
processed, crap that people put in their mouths. In simple
terms the Atkins Diet is high protein, low carbohydrate. The
Zone Diet is 40/30/30, in other words, it is basically an equal
mix of carbohydrate/fat and protein. The Ornish Diet is mostly
vegetarian. The Mediterranean Diet is also a lot of fresh
food but also emphasizes olive oil and whole grains. The
bottom line as to why none of these diets are great for humanity
is that they don’t take into account individual variances
in genetics, physiology, climate, as well as current health
state of the individual. The Mediterranean diet may work
for a lot of people who live around the Mediterranean sea
but what about the rest of the human race. The Atkins Diet
originated in New York City by Dr. Atkins. Perhaps it works
great for people who live in a cold new york climate but
what about people in Southern California. Ah, they have the
Ornish Diet which I believe originated down there where it
is very warm. Often these diets are compared to one another
with various studies. To me this is a waste of time because
I could tell you the results ahead of time. It depends on
where the study is taking place. If it takes place in a colder
climate, the Atkins Diet is going to win. If it takes place
in a warmer climate, the Ornish wins. The Zone and Mediterraean
Diet are very balanced so in a head to head competition they
just aren’t going to win.
The only Diet that takes
into account individual physiological variances that depends
on weather, the health of the individual, genetics and everything
else that affects a persons individual physiology, is The
Hauser Diet. It will in the end triumph over all the diets
of the world, as far as explaining which diet explanation
makes the most amount of sense for all of humanity.
In the
book The Hauser Diet, my wife Marion and Nicole
Baird have done a good job explaining the basic premise of
The Hauser Diet. The theory if you will but the diet goes
way beyond what the book entails. It’s basic notion,
which makes sense to everyone I have ever talked to is this: ‘Before
one can talk about which foods a person should eat they need
to know their Hauser Diet
Type. We have divided the Diet
Types into five categories based upon how the animals eat.
There is the Lion, Otter, Bear, Monkey, and Giraffe Diet
Types. In reality there are a lot more but for most of us,
dividing us into these five is sufficient.
You see common
sense says eat real, non-processed food. OK we are in agreement.
The fresher the food the better. OK so far? Do as little
manipulating of the food after it is grown by the farmer
or caught in the wild. But now one must make the choice as
to which food will make them the healthiest? Do you know?
Is it an organic steak or fresh vegetables? It is easy to
say fresh vegetables, but why not go down to the zoo and
start feeding the Lions vegetables everyday. Let’s
see how long it will be before the Lions and Tigers are dead!
You see for the Lion to have optimum health, energy and wellness
they must eat lots and lots of meat. Plain and simple. Whole
grains, vegetables and fruits are not good for them. To do
so will get them tired, sleepy and ultimately they will die
a premature death. Likewise the Giraffe and Monkeys can not
eat a lot of protein. Feed them a lot of chicken, beef, and
pork and soon they will lay down and die! For the bear they
need balance. They eat a mixture of berries and salmon. They
eat about as much protein and carbohydrates. So which Hauser
Diet Type are you? It is important because almost everything
about nutrition is relative to which diet type you are. Don’t
understand let me explain.
The American Dietetic Association,
U.S. Department of Agriculture and the American Heart Association
and the rest of the American Government officials want you
to believe basically the following:
Carbohydrates are great
so have 11 servings per day (food pyramid)
Fat is bad, so have as little of that as you can
Protein in moderation is ok
Do all the above and your health
will be great! Well the above is a bunch of cow dung! You
see nutritional advice is always relative to your Hauser
Diet Type. For the Giraffe or the Monkey the above guidelines
probably will work because they need a high carbohydrate
diet. There bodies were made to efficiently process carbohydrates
into energy. They will have optimum health, energy, and wellness
by eating a high carbohydrate, low fat, low protein diet.
The Lion, Otter or Bear Diet Types would not do so well on
such a diet. Yes put the Lion, Otter and Bear on this diet
and they will be at increased risk of high blood pressure,
high cholesterol, diabetes, stroke, heart attack and premature
death. They also will feel crappy most days.
If Lions, Otters
and Bears are given more protein and fat then the above guidelines
they feel better and their health is improved. Put Giraffes
and Monkeys on a high protein, high fat diet and they will
be at increased risk of high cholesterol, high blood pressure,
stroke, heart disease and premature death. Of course they
will feel awful also! You see Lions and Otters need eggs
and other high protein sources because their bodies were
made to efficiently process protein and fat into energy.
Give them fat and protein (of course we are talking about
organic, natural sources of fat and protein) and they will
feel optimal.
So The Hauser Diet and its principles is saying
that nutritional advice is relative. You can tell someone
they must eat like this or that unless you know that individuals
or group of individuals Hauser
Diet Types. Once you know
that you can make all sorts of dietary recommendations for
them to not only feel great, prevent disease, but also reverse
diseases! For we need to get back to healthcare not sickness
care. This can only happen if we have revolution in the diet
industry. In my opinion the place to start is with The Hauser
Diet! |
